Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Detail Call. It covers what we provide, what you're responsible for, and what happens if either of us wants out.
Last updated September 5, 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
- Detail Call gives you a booking page, a calendar and a way to take payment. We are a tool you use to run your business, not a marketplace that sends you customers.
- The detailing work is yours. You set your prices, you do the job, and you handle it with your customer if something goes wrong.
- Money moves through Stripe, straight to your bank. We never hold it, and Stripe's own agreement applies to your payouts.
- You can leave whenever you like, and take your customer list with you — email us and we'll close the account and send you the data.
A plain-language summary, not a substitute — the sections below are the agreement.
1
Who we are, and what this is
Detail Call is software for mobile detailers, operated by Runtime LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between us and you — the person or business using it. By creating an account or using Detail Call, you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
Your customers do not have accounts and do not agree to these terms. When someone books through your page, they are dealing with you. What we do with their information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
2
Your account
You need an account to use Detail Call, and you must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your details accurate — your business name, your address and your bank details all drive real things, from the link customers book at to where money lands.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything anyone you give access does. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at support@detailcall.com if you think someone else is in it.
3
What Detail Call does
Detail Call gives you a public booking page, a service menu with prices by vehicle type, a calendar and availability rules, a customer and job record, and a way to take card payments through Stripe. You reach it from the web dashboard and the iOS app. Most of it is on both; a few things live on one — the job screen in the app carries the address and directions, for instance.
What it isn’t
We are not a marketplace, a directory or a lead source. We do not introduce customers to you, promise you bookings, or take a position on what you charge. Everyone who books through your page is someone you sent there.
4
Your booking page and content
Your booking link is a subdomain we issue you, and it stays available while your account is active. Some names are reserved for the way the system works and can’t be claimed. We can reclaim a link that impersonates someone else, is registered to resell, or is being used for something in section 8 — we’ll tell you first unless the situation makes that unwise.
Your content stays yours
Photos, service descriptions, prices, your bio — you own all of it. You give us permission to store it and show it on your booking page and inside the product, which is what publishing a page means. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies in routine backups.
Only upload things you have the right to upload. Photos of a customer’s car and a customer’s driveway are photos of someone’s property — get their agreement before you put them on a public page.
5
Your customers, your work
The detailing is between you and your customer. You set the prices, you decide what a service includes, you show up and do the work, and you carry whatever licences and insurance your area requires. If a job goes wrong — damage, a no-show, a disagreement about what was promised — that is yours to resolve.
Your customer records are yours too. Ask us and we’ll export them for you, or delete them — there is no button for either yet, so today it goes through us, and jobs that carry a payment stay as financial records. We use them to run the product for you and for nothing else; the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what that covers. You are responsible for handling your customers’ information lawfully, including getting consent before you text them.
6
Payments, Stripe and payouts
Card payments run through Stripe. During setup you connect a Stripe account, and from then on Stripe holds the funds, moves them to your bank and handles verification. We never hold your money and can’t move it out of your bank — what we can see of that account is its bank’s name and last four digits, so the Payouts screen can tell you where a payout is going.
Connecting means you also agree to Stripe’s terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe can hold or delay a payout for its own reasons, and it decides who it will serve — if Stripe closes your account, we cannot process payments for you.
Deposits, refunds and chargebacks
- A deposit is a real payment against the job. You choose the percentage, or turn deposits off, in your settings.
- Refunds are your call. If you cancel a job, the default is to refund the deposit; if the customer doesn’t show, keeping it is what the deposit was for. Refunds take five to ten business days to reach a card.
- Chargebacks and disputes are yours. If a customer disputes a payment, Stripe’s process applies and the amount, plus any fee, comes out of your account — not ours.
7
What you pay us
Detail Call is offered on paid plans, and some plans also charge a small percentage of the payments we process for you. Current plans, prices and fees are shown on our pricing page — those are the numbers that apply, and we deliberately don’t restate them here where they would go stale.
- While you’re on a paid plan, the monthly price bills in advance and renews automatically until you cancel.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the account until the end of the period you already paid for, and we don’t prorate partial periods.
- Where your plan carries a percentage fee, it is a share of the card payments we processed for you that month, and it is added to your monthly bill — nothing is taken out of the payments themselves, so what reaches your bank is the full amount. Money you collect as cash accrues nothing.
- We’ll never start charging you without telling you first. If your account isn’t on a paid plan yet, nothing is being collected.
- We can change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. If a new price doesn’t suit you, cancel before it starts.
- Stripe’s card processing rate is separate and goes to Stripe, not to us.
- Prices exclude tax unless stated. Any tax on what you charge your customers is between you and your tax authority.
If a plan payment fails, we may suspend the account until it’s settled. Your booking page stops taking new bookings while suspended; your data is still there.
8
Acceptable use
Don’t use Detail Call to:
- break the law, or take payment for anything illegal;
- impersonate another business, or claim work, reviews or credentials that aren’t yours;
- take payments that have nothing to do with services you actually perform, or use the payment side to move money around;
- upload anything you don’t have the rights to, or anything obscene, hateful or harassing;
- send marketing texts or email to people who didn’t agree to hear from you;
- attack, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service, or work around its limits.
If you do any of this we can suspend or close your account. Where it’s a genuine mistake and no one has been hurt, we’ll ask you to fix it first.
9
Availability and changes
We work to keep Detail Call up, and we don’t promise it always will be. Things break, providers have outages, and we occasionally take the service down to work on it. We’ll give notice of planned work when we can.
The product changes. We add and improve things constantly, and sometimes we remove a feature that isn’t working. If we retire something you rely on, we’ll tell you before it goes.
10
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us; there is no self-service close yet. Ask for an export first if you want one — your customers, your jobs and your payment history.
We can close or suspend your account if you break these terms, if you’re using the service in a way that puts other people or the service itself at risk, or if you stop paying. Except where something serious is happening, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
When an account closes, we take the booking page down and release the link. Payments already taken stay with you through Stripe. We keep your data for a short window in case it was a mistake, then delete what we can — paid jobs are financial records and are kept, which the Privacy Policy sets out in full.
11
Disclaimers and liability
Detail Call is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties — express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and we don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will get you bookings.
To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business — however it arises. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, and some places don’t allow these exclusions — in which case they apply to you only as far as that law permits.
You’ll cover us for claims that come out of your detailing work, your content, or your use of the service in breach of these terms.
12
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there handle anything that can’t be resolved between us.
Talk to us first. Email paul@madebyruntime.com and describe the problem — nearly everything gets sorted this way, and it’s faster than the alternative for both of us.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something once doesn’t waive it. You can’t transfer this agreement without our agreement; we can transfer it as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.
13
Changes to these terms
We’ll update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top says when they last changed. For anything material we’ll email you or tell you in the product before it takes effect, and carrying on using Detail Call afterwards means you accept the new version. If you don’t, close your account.
